Middle School hosts their annual winter concert

The middle school winter concert was held on January 17.  The whole middle school participated in the festivities by was helping hand out programs or playing in the concert.

Students attend Stand Up 2012

Manchester Essex’s peer leaders went to the Stand Up to bullying 2012 convention on November 29, 2012 in Lowell, Massachusetts.  Over five thousand students participated in the conference.

Manchester Essex hosts third annual senior citizen lunch

               Senior citizens from around the North Shore gathered in the Manchester Essex High/ Middle School’s cafeteria for a warm holiday meal. They enjoyed performances by the high school band, chorus, and sound waves. This has been the third annual holiday lunch and the tradition that is bound to continue for many more years.

Chorus and band perform at tree lighting

The tree lighting in Manchester has been a tradition for many years.  Kids of all ages enjoy the music for the high school band, high school chorus, and La Petite Coralle.

GALLERY: Air Force Band After Burner makes an impact on ME

On Friday, November 11, the Air Force Band After Burner performed for both the Middle and the High Schools. With five of the six members playing, thirteen different songs were played. This was the third event in Humanities Week, and the first “concert” of the year.

Wearing hats benefits Somaly Mam

On November 16, 2012 the global issues class held a hat day fundraiser for their Somaly Mam project. Students could bring a dollar to school and pay to wear their hat all day. Both high school and middle school where able to participate in the event.  The next hat day to be held will be on December 14, 2012.

Dodgeball helps raise money to stop slavery

  The Manchester Essex Global Issues class put on a dodgeball tournament to raised money for their Somaly Man project on Wednesday November 14th.  Every year the Global Issues class takes on a project. Last year their project was H2O for Life, which helped build water wells for a town that was affected by earthquake in Haiti. Somaly Man helps stop human trafficking.

Boys soccer take on Maimonides school

The boys soccer team defeated the Maimonides school to an impressive 4 – 0 victory.  This was the boys’ first game in the state tournament, though they end

ed up not moving past the second round.

Girls Soccer Seniors Play Last Game

Senior night is a night to recognize the seniors that are going to graduate.  This will be their last game of their high school career.  This year there were four seniors graduating.
