Chemistry class presents second quarter projects

 

For the 2nd quarter project, members of Mr. Grays’ Chemistry class made powerpoints on specific elements. These were due on January 9th, with students presenting their elements over several of the following classes.

Library Hosts Book Fair

From the 3rd until the 7th of December, a book fair was set up in the library during school. Sponsored by The Book Shop in Beverly Farms, it featured a wide array of popular books for both the Middle and the High School.

GALLERY: Air Force Band After Burner makes an impact on ME

On Friday, November 11, the Air Force Band After Burner performed for both the Middle and the High Schools. With five of the six members playing, thirteen different songs were played. This was the third event in Humanities Week, and the first “concert” of the year.

MERHS hosts the Tim Averill Invitational Debate Tournament

With students arriving from over 35 schools, and from as far as California, over 650 students participated in the Tim Averill Invitational Debate Tournament on October 27th at Manchester Essex Regional High School.

Boys soccer take on Maimonides school

The boys soccer team defeated the Maimonides school to an impressive 4 – 0 victory.  This was the boys’ first game in the state tournament, though they end

ed up not moving past the second round.

Varsity and Junior Varsity Cross country teams compete in Cape Ann League championships

On October 27th, Cross Country teams from every school in the Cape Ann League met at Bradley Palmer State Park to run in the final race of the season. For the Junior Varsity teams, this is the final race of the season. However, the Varsity teams will continue practicing for the upcoming State Qualifiers.

Author Tim Green visits MERMS

As the first segment of Humanities Week, the bestselling author Tim Green arrived at MERHS to give a presentation to the middle school in the auditorium. During this presentation, he talked about his life, answered questions, and read from his latest book, Unstoppable.

Australian students visit MERHS families

Every other year, Manchester Essex Regional High hosts a group of students from Australia that come and visit the school and the surrounding New England area. They came this year, and stayed from September 15th to the 24th. Molly, Erin, and Jacks’ family was fortunate enough to house Daniel Langton, a Year 10 student.
