Band and Chorus perform for the high school

On Thursday, December 23rd, 2010, high school students gathered in the auditorium for the annual Christmas vacation music assembly. The high school chorus first took the stage to sing in their final concert of the year. After the chorus sang, the a cappella group Sound Waves sang favorites like “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”. The high school band then played their holiday set list for their last performance of 2010.

DECA hosts semi-formal dance

DECA raises over $800 with winter themed dance. DJBJAY played a mix of dance music synced to a large light setup. There was a photo setup with a blue background and white Christmas trees where students could get their pictures taken with their dates or friends.

This December, the high school DECA team hosted the school’s annual semi formal. The event was a fundraiser for the DECA program.

With over 130 students participating, the DECA team successfully raised up to $800.

Student investigate the effects of zinc and sodium hydroxide of a copper penny. The students went through a process that put a gold plated color on the pennies.

In the Manchester Memorial School, 4th grade students practice their typing skills by using a computer program aimed to teach the correct way to type with accuracy and speed.

In the Manchester Memorial School, 4th grade students practice their typing skills by using a computer program aimed to teach the correct way to type with accuracy and speed. This familiarizes students with the placement of the keys. The students transcribed the words that they listened to on headphones. Students put paper over their hands to help learn where the letters are located on the keyboard. The class taught by Rebecca Baun.
