Sophomore class washes cars to raise money

On Saturday, June 9, the Class of 2014 ran a carwash to raise money for their senior year activities. The class was able to raise close to $700 in just 4 hours.

PE class says farewell to beloved teacher

High school students take time to thank health and physical education teacher M’Lena Gandolfi for all her dedication in the physical education department. Gandolfi will retire at the end of this year after spending much of her adult life as a teacher at Manchester Essex.

Students honor fallen soldiers at Memorial Day assembly

On Friday May 25th, students and faculty gathered in the gymnasium to honor fallen veterans.  Guest speakers were present to help explain the importance of Memorial Day.

Team Ultimate Defeats Winchester

The Frisbee team had their third win of the season on Friday May 18th. The team worked together, and was successfully able to get a strong lead against Winchester.

Sophomore Biology classes dissect chicken wings

On Tuesday, science department head Erica Everett leads her biology classes in their first dissection of the year. Classes were given a tutorial on how to dissect properly before they began dissecting the wings. Lab objectives included examining different parts of the Integumentary System of the chicken.

Students give blood to save lives

On Friday, March 16, the high school hosted its annual blood drive. Students and faculty from Manchester Essex donated 37 pints saving 112 lives. The blood donated will be used in hospitals to help save anyone who needs blood.
