Middle school students participate in Knitting Club

Middle school teacher Nancy Carncross teaches middle school students different ways to knit items after school on Tuesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 in room A306. In the last session, students were taught finger knitting and the garter stitch so they could make scarves and even a large quilt. Since knitting requires two hands to knit, right and left brain interaction has scientifically been proven to increase with this activity. Knitting is also great for students because it can help people relax. The last meeting is November 15, 2011, but Carncross is thinking of having the knitting club again next year.
