Sophomore class washes cars to raise money

On Saturday, June 9, the Class of 2014 ran a carwash to raise money for their senior year activities. The class was able to raise close to $700 in just 4 hours.

Team Ultimate Defeats Winchester

The Frisbee team had their third win of the season on Friday May 18th. The team worked together, and was successfully able to get a strong lead against Winchester.

Sophomore Biology classes dissect chicken wings

On Tuesday, science department head Erica Everett leads her biology classes in their first dissection of the year. Classes were given a tutorial on how to dissect properly before they began dissecting the wings. Lab objectives included examining different parts of the Integumentary System of the chicken.

Students give blood to save lives

On Friday, March 16, the high school hosted its annual blood drive. Students and faculty from Manchester Essex donated 37 pints saving 112 lives. The blood donated will be used in hospitals to help save anyone who needs blood.

Varsity boys’ basketball wins first MIAA playoff game

Manchester-Essex Boys Varsity Basketball played their first MIAA playoff game against Snowden on March 2nd, 2012. The team fought hard throughout the game’s entirety and were able to win in the end.

Library introduces Ebooks

The library now has access to Ebooks. There are about forty books available and students may read them in their entirety. Online Ebooks may be accessed through the library’s page on the school’s website.

Swim team competes in Cape Ann League Championship

The varsity swim and dive team was one of seven teams who competed in the league championship on Sunday, February 5. Many swimmers had personal bests for the season. The Cape Ann League Championship, CALS for short, is an opportunity for all teams to compete in one meet.
