Manchester-Essex High School students Lindsey Duff and Tucker Evans were accepted to All-States in Chorus. Following the Massachusetts Music Educators Association’s All-State Music Festival auditions on Saturday January, 25th, Senior Lindsey Duff and Junior Tucker Evans were accepted to the All-State Festival Chorus as a soprano and bass, respectively. This is Tucker’s third year in a row for making All-States and Lindsey’s second year. Both Lindsey and tucker are members of the MERHS Chorus and the SoundWaves. They worked very hard, were well-prepared for their All-State audition and are both very talented singers and overall musicians. They will be staying at the Seaport Hotel in Boston from March 20-22, will rehearse at the World Trade Center and will be representing Manchester-Essex in the All-State Festival Concert at Boston Symphony Hall on March 22, 2014. The Al-State Chorus is an exceptional ensemble comprised of 200-250 of our finest young musicians in MA. Nine Manchester-Essex Regional Middle/High School students selected to participate in the 2014 Massachusetts Northeastern District Junior Music Festival. Students from more than 95 public and private schools auditioned on January 18th. This prestigious music event is offered by the MMEA (Massachusetts Music Educators Association) as an enrichment opportunity providing a musical experience to talented young musicians. Students are selected to perform in the District Festival Concert Band, Orchestra, Girls Chorus or Boys Chorus. They rehearse with a guest conductor and then perform in the Festival Concert held at the Lowell Auditorium on March 15th.
