GALLERY: Boston Strong!

Students and staff wore blue and yellow to show support for those affected physically and emotionally by the recent bombing at the Boston Marathon. They also honored all of the first responders and everyday heroes who helped in the wake of the tragedy.

Junior Fiona Davis and French teacher Julia Gross coordinated the fabrication and distribution of yellow and blue ribbons to the entire middle and high school. Art teachers Marion Powers, Tamera Burns, and Caroline Hunt Epp had their students create B’s for the front lobby to show support.

On Friday, April 26, the whole school honored the memories of those lost with a moment of silence. Davis read a very moving speech and the high school’s a cappella group, Sound Waves, performed “America the Beautiful”.

Finally, the entire middle and high school united on Hyland Field for a group photo.
