Boys varsity lacrosse takes on North Reading

On Friday April 13th, the varsity boy’s lacrosse team was defeated by North Reading. The game ended with a score of 15-1.

Seventh graders study Spanish speaking countries

The seventh grade students presented their Spanish speaking countries to the class. This project helped the students in the class to learn more about the world through the teaching of their peers instead of their teacher.

A Cappella night raises money for senior class

On April 27th, the senior class hosted an A Cappella night at the high school. The singing groups consisted of the Manchester Essex Sound waves, the Pingree Spectrum Highlights, the Danvers Chamber Singers, and the Wellesley High Renegades.

Sophomores present project on tomato fight

On April 26, 2012 sophomores Lindsey Duff and Molly Carlson presented their Spanish project on La Tomatina a traditional festival in Buñol, Spain, which started after a fight with vegetables broke out during the parade of Gigantes y Cabezudos.They described every aspect of the huge tomato fight from the history to activities similar in the U.S.

Boys junior varsity lacrosse team plays Newburyport High School

Junior varsity plays a home game against Newburyport before the varsity’s night game against Newburyport’s varsity team. The junior varsity’s record so far is 3-5-0.

Seventh Grade recreates ancient Olympics

 

The seventh grade students go outside on the turf field to act out the Greek Olympics. The students have been learning about the Ancient Greeks for several weeks in their history class.

Girls Tennis trumps Hamilton- Wenham

On Wednesday April 11, the girl’s tennis team won their match against Hamilton-Wenham. The match was away at the Hamilton-Wenham courts and Manchester-Essex won 5 to 0. The girls played a great game, considering the weather conditions that they faced.
