Middle school performs in spring concert

On May 17, the middle school band and chorus had their annual spring concert. The band performed a number of classics and the middle school A Cappella Singers performed alongside the chorus.

North Andover defeats JV softball in close game

On May 20, the JV softball team traveled to North Andover to play one of their many make-up games. Due to the poor weather this season, the Hornets played a tough game but ended up losing the game 5-1.

College essay seminar comes to Manchester

Bill Caskey, Brown Admissions Officer, came to the Trask House of Manchester to teach students his presentation, “Writing the Infamous College Admissions Essay”. Students attended the seminar to prepare for the college experience.

Poems in the parking lot

English teacher Gloria Tanner’s freshman class went out to the faculty parking lot and wrote poems with chalk. This was a fun way to give others poems to read, and also educate the students about poetry.

Eighth Grade students work on D.C. scrapbooks

The eighth graders of Doris Ann Vosseler’s foreign language classes have been working on their scrapbooks from their Washington D.C. trip. Each year after the trip to D.C., eighth graders make scrapbooks in their foreign language classes. These scrapbooks are to tell what students did on the trip, using the imperfect and past tense in either Spanish or French.

Girls varsity lacrosse volunteers at Hit the Street for Little Feet

Saturday May 12, members of the high school girl’s varsity lacrosse team volunteered at the road race called Hit the Street for Little Feet in Manchester. Hit the Street for Little Feet is a local running event that contributes to a bulk of Manchester Essex enrichment programs.

Sophomore Biology classes dissect chicken wings

On Tuesday, science department head Erica Everett leads her biology classes in their first dissection of the year. Classes were given a tutorial on how to dissect properly before they began dissecting the wings. Lab objectives included examining different parts of the Integumentary System of the chicken.
