Seventh grade ends MCAS with a quiz bowl

The seventh grade students of MERSD celebrated the end of MCAS by having a quiz bowl in the “Pod” (the 7th grades meeting place in the middle of their classrooms).

Quiz bowls are game-show-like get together where 7th grade teachers ask the students questions based on what they have been studying all year and pop-culture. They are used as an educational celebration before a school vacation or after a lot of tests. Teachers applied for a grant in order to purchase the buzzers. Forty kids can play a time, with 8 teams of 5 kids.
